Written by Hope herself, “By the Fire” is a healing, heartwarming chestnut that welcomes everyone back home with a hearty hug and a steaming mug (your choice of beverage). Engineered and coproduced by John Naclario at Nada Recording Studio and featuring guests James Felice of the Felice Brothers on accordion and Rosie Rion Porco on cello and violin, it’s a moody-yet-uplifting gem of touching, torchy folk Americana with a redemptive refrain that lingers lovingly long after the last chorus rings out.
